Hypermobility Workshop with Stephanie Weiner!

Join us for a comprehensive workshop to understand the effects of hypermobility in the aerial community. During this session, we'll delve into the intricacies of hypermobility, including its definition, diagnostic criteria, and the various types recognized within medical literature. We'll also explore common comorbidities associated with hypermobility and provide insights into recognizing their impacts, empowering participants to modify their routines based on daily physical feedback.

We'll address considerations specific to the hypermobile population when engaging in both aerobic and strength training exercises, ensuring a holistic approach to aerial fitness as well as general well-being. By the workshop's conclusion, attendees will be equipped to identify signs of hypermobility, comprehend its systemic effects on the body, and adapt their movement programs accordingly.

Presented by Stephanie Weiner, Dr. of Physical Therapy and Momentum Aerial Student -

Stephanie is a graduate of Northern Arizona University with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), and a certified Pilates instructor and strength coach. She has been coaching for over nine-years; during which she has worked with paralympians, rowers, chronic pain patients, and diverse patients/clients in between. She specializes in helping people who have been discounted or failed by the medical and/or fitness industry because of the systemic gaps in our healthcare system.

Who Should Attend:

Aerial Students who suspect they have hypermobility, parents of students with hypermobility, people who have been diagnosed with hypermobility by a healthcare professional, or students who have been told by an aerial teacher that they may have hypermobility.
