Welcome to Momentum

Momentum is a safe space for all.

Thank you for your interest in aerial classes at Momentum! Momentum Aerial is dedicated to creating a welcoming culture for people from all backgrounds and identities. We follow the American Circus Educators guidance on coaching circus for all genders. It is our practice to start our class intros and ice breakers by asking our students their names and by providing the option for students to share their pronouns. The practice of asking for pronouns during introductions is becoming more common, even in large institutions such as Northern Arizona University (NAU). Here is a resource provided by NAU’s Office of Inclusion.

“Societal acceptance of all gender identities and expressions is a very important issue for our generation. We believe it is especially important in the circus world, since circus has traditionally welcomed members of society who live a little differently than the majority. Circus is for everyone!”- The American Circus Educators Association, Coaching for all Genders Resource Sheet

If this is a new practice for you, please refer to the resources linked above for information, or ask us for further information. We are happy to share how our practice of asking students for their pronouns has helped us to create a space where our students feel empowered and supported.

Everyone at our studio is to be treated with respect. There is no discrimination on the basis of race, religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity, nationality, disability, mental status, gender identity, political opinion, or body size. Please visit our student policies page for a complete list of our policies.

Getting Signed Up For A Semester Class

Step 1: Sign up for our systems

The first step to register for classes at Momentum is to create a Mindbody account with us. If you already have a Mindbody account, you can log in using this link, or reset your password. This is the system that we use for all of our scheduling and registration. Please also download the Mindbody app to have your schedule at your fingertips!

Please also sign our online waiver. You will not be permitted to take a class with us if you have not signed our online waiver.

Step 2: Choose your class(es)

If you or your child aren’t sure what class to take, check out our class descriptions.

*Pole Level 1a and Rope Level 1a classes are extremely challenging vertical apparatuses with limited rest poses, and therefore have strength pre-requisites so that students have the best experience. Click on “class descriptions” to learn about the pre-requisites before signing up for these classes.

Step 3: Register for your class(es)

View our tentative semester schedule to the left, and decide which class you’d like to take. Brand new students may take Level 1a designated classes, like Trapeze 1a, Youth Silks 1a or Teen Lyra 1a. We offer classes for a variety of age ranges: Little Flyers (5-6), Youth (7-8 & 9-12), Teen (13-16) for kids. If there is no designation, it’s an adult class for people 18+. Choose the age group that is appropriate for you or your child for the best learning experience.

Registration for Spring 2025 opens on December 1st. The spring semester runs for 15 weeks, January 12-May 3.

Please use our Registration Help Form if you need a payment plan, of if you are not able to sign yourself or your child up for classes on your own. We will use the card on file, or call you for a credit card number. We offer payment plans for everyone who requests one, and divide your payment into up to 5 payments per semester.

Registration is an extremely busy time for our admin team; we work around to clock to serve about 500 students each semester. We will contact you and register you as soon as you can, but sometimes there is a delay of 2-3 days. We do our best for brand new Level 1a students to reserve a spot for you as soon as we see your form request, but we cannot guarantee a spot in a Level 1a class. Please do your best to sign up on your own using the online link above, and the included instructions.

Step 4: Find our studio

Find our studio ahead of time so you can arrive at least 5 minutes before your first class. See our location and parking information here.

Step 5: Understand our policies

Your first day of class is important. In addition to learning fun new skills on your apparatus, your instructor will go over a few important policies and explain how your semester at Momentum Aerial will work. You’ll also get to meet everyone in your cohort that you will spend the next 15 weeks with. Please read our policies before your first class, and let us know if you’re unable to attend your first day of class.

Momentum Aerial Refund Policy:

Refunds are only offered in the case of extenuating circumstances, such as extreme illness or injury. Contact Momentum's owners Morgan or Joanie as soon as possible in the event that you would like to request a refund. Partial reimbursement may be an option, or credit to your account. It is also the right of Momentum Aerial to refuse a refund. Momentum Aerial will charge a $5 refund fee for credit card processing for any refunds, including refunds for mistaken purchases.

-Level 1a classes are not refundable at all. We have extremely high demand for our Level 1a classes, and have long waitlists for them.
