Imaginary Universe Audition Notice

Imagine a universe different than our own, elsewhere beyond our wildest dreams; with different beings, technology and ways of life...welcome to Momentum's first of many in-house performances! We want to see your best Sci-Fi themed acts in the forms of dance, aerial, flow arts, partner acrobatics, short-scene theater, comedy or other physical art forms! Imaginary Universe will be performed at Momentum Aerial on Saturday evening, April 8th, 2023 with a dress rehearsal earlier that same day.

This is a PAID performance opportunity! We're looking for local professional artists or aspiring semi-professionals who fit into any of the following categories:

-age 14+

-Momentum Aerial students in Level 3a+ in your apparatus

-flow artists with high level poi, juggling, diablo, staff or hoop skills

-dancers with refined artistry and a contemporary dance foundation

-high level adagio/partner acrobatics artists

-actors with a theater background

-non-Momentum aerialists who have 2-3+ years of aerial training and meet the criteria in the audition form.

Auditions are due by February 15th, 2023, and we will notify you on February 16th or 17th about whether or not we've accepted your act into this show. Acts do not have to be completely finished to submit an audition, but auditions must have an idea/theme/storyline, a submission of your talent, and part of your act completed.
