Private Lessons

  1. Private Lessons must be confirmed by teacher and student at least 24 hours prior to the private lesson. If a student needs to cancel a private lesson, they must give at least 12 hours notice or the student may be charged full price for the lesson. 

  2. Private lessons must paid for upon booking to be added to the schedule.

  3. Students may take private lessons to move ahead a level, at the discretion of their instructor. At least 3-4 (often more) private lessons are needed to learn and absorb all the content in a level. It is not guaranteed you will be able to move ahead a level through private lessons.

  4. Private lesson rate for “current students” of $70, or $40 for semi privates, is applied to students who are taking regular weekly classes. If you are not taking regular weekly classes, the private lesson rate is $80, or $50 for semi privates.

  5. Routine Private Lessons for students who are not enrolled in semester-long classes:

    In the event that we have a new student who is only taking routine / ongoing private lessons, and who is not concurrently enrolled in semester-long classes, we will begin to offer the 'current student' rate after 3 private lessons. This demonstrates that a student is committed to regular training. Routine private lessons are defined as lessons every 2 weeks or less. The non-current student rate is more for students passing through town, or students who are not interested in regular training.
